BootPrints: Staged Reading

The Peale Center for Baltimore History and Architecture, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is restoring the oldest museum building in the United States in partnership with the City of Baltimore. Through its programs, the Peale Center will illuminate the authentic stories of Baltimore's people and places while reinventing the urban museum in the creative and innovative spirit of its founder, artist Rembrandt Peale.

The Peale

BootPrints is a new movie of the classic stage play, being produced and directed by Nate Couser, actor, artist, and host of The Artist Exchange radio show. Written by Latonia Valincia-Moss, BootPrints tells the stories of three women who are forced to face the ugly truths of their past. Actors to be showcased in the movie are Jay Nicole Wallace as “Myeshia”, Sheena Barksdale as “Gingel” & Ama Brown as “Gmama”. 
Prior to the film's premier at the Peale in August, 2018, the cast will stage a reading of BootPrints on May 31 at 8pm at the Peale Center. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Refreshments will be on sale during the event.

Leading up to the movie premiere will be a series of events beginning in the month of May.
