Bululú (noun. Venezuelan “alboroto," a gathering of people with excitement, fuzz).

Bululú is a dynamic Latin music band that immerses audiences in the rich and vibrant influences of Venezuela and the Caribbean through their live and flavorful repertoire. Their performances encompass an exciting mix of styles, ranging from calypsos and salsa to cumbias, sones, bachatas, boleros, and more.

Bululú is thrilled to welcome the esteemed Afro-Peruvian vocalist, Marina Lavalle, renowned as one of the Bay Area's most captivating performers and celebrated voices in contemporary Peruvian music. Together, they will present a meticulously crafted selection of beloved Latin American classics, spanning from the heartfelt boleros and soulful ballads to the lively cha chas, bachatas, cumbias, festejos, tonadas, and the rhythmic beats of tambores de la costa. Adding to the enchantment, Bululú will showcase the exquisite "Bandola Llanera," a rare 4-string guitar hailing from the plains of Venezuela and Colombia, promising an unforgettable musical experience.
