Welcome to Bodywork with Aera Presents: Self Care Series: Migraine and TMJ Management! Join us online for an informative session on how to manage migraines and TMJ issues through self-care techniques. Aera Barnette, LMT (MA60668404) will guide you through science-backed practical self-massage & self care tips to help alleviate symptoms and improve your overall well-being. Say goodbye to those pesky headaches and jaw pain with our helpful strategies. Don't miss out on this opportunity to take control of your health and feel better!

This is an excellent class for individuals who have received Intra-Oral work from Aera in the past, and who have had to stop this care due to Covid-19 concerns. If you're still taking precautions and wearing a mask, rest assured, you can do the same techniques Aera provides in their practice, without ANY risk, by doing this in the comfort of your own home!

Class will be 90 minutes long, with buffering time to go over if there are a lot of questions, but plan to be at the class for at least 90 minutes, up to an hour and 45 minutes. Please see the FAQ for the required materials for this class and for any other questions you may have.

Individuals with the following concerns are highly encouraged to give this class a chance:

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring to the class?

The required materials are: Exam Gloves and it would be good to have water handy and tissues. Also, please wash your hands before we begin!

I can't come, can I get a recording?

No, we are not offering class recordings at this time to respect the privacy of other attendees who might ask questions. I do offer Online Self Care Coaching in Seattle. www.bodyworkwithaera.com/contact if you are in need!

Can anyone do these techniques?

Almost anyone can do the techniques if they have the ability to use their hands. We can modify the way we approach the techniques if you are struggling. There will be time to ask questions and to trouble shoot how to use a technique during the class.

I have to fidget a lot to listen during talking portions of class, is this ok?

YES! Please just mute yourself and turn off your camera if you need to pace, fidget, or stretch. Always take a body break when needed, but try to do it outside of the active technique practice segments, so you can get the most out of this class.

I have piercings in my face, is this ok?

Yes, if they are not in your cheeks, or in other places (like lips, tongue, frenulum) that will snag on your gloves. If you think you might cause yourself discomfort with the piercings in, it would be best to remove them, if able. Otherwise, it shouldn't be much of an issue.
