About this event

This playful, nourishing gathering is an opportunity to come home to the magic of movement, deepen creative suppleness, and develop embodied relaxation and aliveness. This is a relational practice, and we explore movement scores together - in solitudes, in dyads and triads, and in the collective. We move with music, soundscapes, and with the song of silence. We practice in bare feet or soft soled inside dance shoes, as we move together on a Marley dance floor. Dress in layers, for comfort in movement, and bring some water. Feel free to bring a journal in case there is something you wish to write down, that emerges from the creative play. Inspring, restful, dynamic, curious, welcoming, tender, invigorating play. Katriona has been dancing for 47 years and teaching movement for 24 years. She is a Certified Soul Motion Consious Dance Teacher and a Registered/Licensed Somatic and Arts Psychotherapist. Body Songs, Earth & Sky, is influenced by Soul Motion, Authentic Movement, and Movement Based Expressive Arts, woven with Somatics and Relations with Earth. Each class length is 1 hour and 45 minutes. Summer Session 1 has 4 classes.
