I’m honoured to be teaching Anamaya’s first yoga retreat inclusive to plus size bodies, welcoming of all bodies to join me on the mat, and teaching yoga with a plus size body positive approach. Yoga for all bodies! This shouldn’t be so radical. As a plus size yogi myself with a 15+ year personal yoga practice, I’m passionate about creating the kinds of wellness spaces I haven’t always felt welcomed in, and have always longed for.


I will be teaching yoga infused with wisdom from Ayurveda, India’s ancient medicine system. Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences, deeply interwoven together and with the elements of nature. Ayurveda can help us to find balance in our bodies and our minds, landing in homeostatis and nervous system regulation.


Morning classes are from 7:30-9am, and are a bit more active, Hatha flow. Evening classes are from 5:30-6:30pm and are more restful, yin & restorative.

Anamaya is a create-your-own-adventure paradise. Anamaya does things ‘a la carte’, so you pay for your accommodations + meals upfront - around $795+tax USD for shared rooms and $1645+tax USD for private rooms, these prices includes ALL meals and snacks - and then everything else you choose to do throughout the week, you pay for at the end. I love it because I can see how I feel and decide in the moment. Most people are there to do the yoga retreat and do most or all of the classes, but there’s never any pressure. There’s lots of different things to do, or you can also choose to just relax in authentic Pura Vida style ;)


Each yoga class that I teach is $15+tax USD / class, throughout the week I will be teaching 10 classes (6 in the morning and 4 in the evening), so if you attend all 10 it’s $150+tax USD. Yoga teachers at Anamaya also offer special 2 hour workshops throughout the week to guests - to attend all 3 of my workshops is $125+tax USD, or $50+tax USD each workshop. They are usually in the afternoons, or mornings in between meals.


To attend all my yoga classes and workshops for the 1 week retreat, it’s $275+tax USD.***Tax is 13%***

Everything else you do is up to you and how you want to spend your retreat. Often groups will get together and do different excursions, depending on what people want to do. Outside of my yoga classes + workshops, you can spend your time swimming in the infinity saltwater pool, getting a spa treatment or massage, hiking to the nearby waterfall, jungle canopy ziplining, surf lessons in the ocean, checking out the charming local town, or reading a book in a hammock.

Transport: Flights are booked and paid for on your end, arriving at either San Jose or Liberia Airport in Costa Rica.

From San Jose Airport:


You can take a short local Sansa flight to Cobano airport + 15mins taxi ride to Anamaya. Or 2.5 hour Interbus, Zuma or Tropical Tours tourist shuttle to Jaco, then 1 hour speedboat to Montezuma (it’s thrilling!) + 5 mins taxi ride to Anamaya. Or 2.5 hour tourist shuttle to Puntarenas, 1.5 hour ferry to the Nicoya peninsula + 2 hour tourist shuttle to Anamaya.

From Liberia Airport:


You can take a short local Sansa flight to Cobano airport + 15mins taxi ride to Anamaya. Or 5.5 hour Interbus, Zuma, or Tropical Tours tourist shuttle to Anamaya.

If you prefer to break up the travel you can fly in/out a day early, stay overnight near the Airport, and travel to Anamaya the next day.

During my 1 week yoga retreat, I’ll be teaching 3 special workshops that you can join:


Healing With The Moon Phases Ceremony


As a Cancer sun & rising, Scorpio moon & empath, I’m deeply connected to the moon and her phases, and have been hosting my own monthly Full Moon Womyn’s Circles
in Toronto Canada since 2017. Every month we have a precious opportunity to harness the power of the moon’s phases! Let go of what’s no longer serving you, and open your heart to call in your deepest desires, manifesting with the
moon’s energy.


In this Workshop we will explore the moon’s Full & New/Dark Moon phases and how you can work with this energy in your life. We will gather together in an opening + closing sharing circle, and you will be guided through different manifestation exercises.


Healing With Voice & Breath


In this workshop we will explore different restorative breathwork techniques, mantra, and chanting for embodiment, somatic release, learning to feel safe(r) in
our bodies, listening to our intuition, and toning the nervous system.


We will mostly spend time working with the Parasympathetic or Rest &
Digest part of the nervous system, and practicing tools to land in our
own powerful inner self-healing system in the body. I have transformed my own health using these tools and I’m so excited to guide you through them.


Healing With Ayurveda


In this workshop you will be guided through an Introduction to the foundation of Ayurveda, alongside our physical yoga asana practices in the morning & evening yoga classes. We will explore the 5 Earth Elements, Doshas, Gunas and how you can apply India’s ancient sciences to your life. This workshop will be interactive allowing for time to share, play
and have fun!
