About this event

  • 2 hours

Andrea Olsen and Caryn McHose have been teaching and developing this “body of inquiry” since the publication of Body and Earth: An Experiential Guide in 2004. They held their first Body and Earth workshop in Wales, UK hosted by Eeva-Maria Mutka, which became an annual event at that site for over a decade.

In this 20th anniversary conversation, they reflect on the impact of Northampton colleagues Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen and Janet Adler on their development of experiential anatomy and authentic movement, beginning in the l980's. Discussions include how place and colleagues impact creative work—including mentoring younger artist/makers/imaginers/bodyworkers locally and internationally.

Join Andrea, Caryn, and Eeva-Maria for this evening presentation of the principles and practices that continue to underlie their work.

This event is open to the public as part of a week-long workshop led by Andrea and Caryn. Learn about the full workshop here. Admission to this event is free to workshop participants.

A Friday lunchtime showing of new work by Eeva-Maria Mutka features a discussion about creativity with Rosalyn Driscoll.
