Welcome to Boba and Beads!
Come join us for a fun-filled event beading and sipping on delicious boba tea or lemonade. Whether you're a seasoned beader or a complete beginner, this event is perfect for anyone looking to get creative and have a good time.
You will be guided through creating your very own beaded pieces. Options include:
- Pen with black ink
- Key chain
- Wine stopper
- Bottle opener
- Badge reel
While beading, enjoy a boba drink. With a variety of flavors to choose from, you're sure to find something you love.
So grab your friends or kids and join us for a session of beads and boba - it's going to be a blast!
Note: This event is geared towards all ages 5+.
Frequently asked questions
Boba is made from tapioca starch, also known as cassava starch, which is why they're often also labeled as "tapioca pearls." Boba is practically tasteless, making it easy to pair with a variety of drinks. There are also popping boba varieties, which are often colorful and filled with fruit-flavors.
Not likely. Once bead selections are made, the activity time is actually quite short. With that said, it will still be important to arrive timely and leave promptly, due to other activities taking place at the same location following Beads and Boba!
A focal bead is the center of attention on your piece.
At this time no. Sizing of focal beads vary by material and maker – not all focal beads will fit all products. IE: Acrylic NFL teams do not fit on Bottle openers, but silicone ones do. Focal beads are based on current stock & picked on a first come, first serve basis.
Themes typically available include: Disney, Super Heros, Taylor Swift, Pgh*Penguins, Pgh*Steelers, sport, flowers and holidays. At this time, focal bead themes can be guaranteed for private parties only.
All the other beads used to fill your bead-able item. These beads vary in shapes, colors, and materials.

•Additional items to bead will be available on a first come, first serve basis and payment will be required by Cash or Venmo? Prices for additional items cannot be posted due to field limitations for FAQ. They are available upon request, and will also be posted on site.
Boba refills are cash or Venmo only, $5 per cup. Our Boba Baristas will also have a tip jar, should you feel inclined.
Charms, additional items to bead and Boba Refills can be purchased. Prices available upon request and will be posted at the event.
