DylanPhest 77 - A Birthday Tribute to Bob Dylan

Welcome to PianoFight! We are a community-driven indy arts venue that takes pride in partnering with local artists to make great shows, mouth watering eats and delicious cocktails adding up to a uniquely San Francisco experience. Our two intimate theaters and cabaret stage host music, comedy, plays, dance, film screenings, drag, magic, variety shows and more, while our restaurant and bar serves up new American bites and classic cocktails. We provide space and infrastructure to hundreds of artists, who create and stage 1,500 performances for over 50,000 audience members each year.  During the day, we are the home base for the offices and classrooms of community non-profits like Tenderloin Walking Tours and Code Tenderloin which runs a job-readiness program for TL residents.

PianoFight

In honor of Bob Dylan’s 77th birthday Robb Hagle (Swamp Child) and E.G. Philips (Ducks With Pants) will be joined by the Bay Area’s best musicians to pay tribute to man who gave the world songs ranging from “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright” to "Shelter From the Storm" all the way up to "Most of the Time" and "Things Have Changed.”
The show will consist of a Nashville style acoustic round (with accompaniment by violinist Andy Lentz of “The Devil Makes Three” and “Brothers Comatose”) in the opening act followed by a full band set backed by members of Swamp Child.
Robb Hagle and Brandi Cheek (Swamp Child) recently dubbed one of the <A HREF="https://brokeassstuart.com/blog/2018/01/03/top-20-bay-area-bands-of-2017/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Top 20 Bay Area Bands</A>, “Swamp Child” combines New Orleans soulful and dreamy pop with Chicago garage blues. 
E.G. Phillips (Ducks With Pants) — a jazz influenced folk-rock songwriter blending cinematic imagery and whimsy in his vivid lyrics. 
Ethereal folk rocker Amy Obenski (Amy Obenski & The Elements) — California native with a pure, haunting, and mesmerizing voice, Amy is frequently compared to Joni Mitchel and Carol King. 
Maayan, an international free spirit and soulful singer-songwriter who blends rock, Americana, blues and Middle Eastern influences.
Marissa Kay (Marissa Kay and the Lunar Angels) who released her acclaimed debut “Trans Is Love” in November, a collection of rock songs that sway between folk and punk.
Mr. Andrew (Pink Pigs) — Imagine if the Beatles had a daughter. And she had a baby with Nirvana. Then that baby drank a six pack of beer. Mr. Andrew is that drunk baby.
The soulful and talented multi-instrumentalist Allison Wonderband (aka Allie Jones).
…and folk balladeer Shawn Byron.
Join these songwriters and performers as they offer their own renditions of Bob Dylan classics, sharing stories and honoring this great American songwriter.

PARKING Street parking is free after 6pm. We’re located 2 blocks from Powell BART, numerous muni lines and there are 3 parking lots within 1 block.
