Making your own game absolutely rules!
Games have been a part of the human experience since the earliest days. But where do they come from? Simple - People make them!
In this workshop, we'll talk a little about what makes a game, brainstorm some rules, themes, and designs, and then either singly or in small groups build prototypes to take home and play. We'll also talk about how to keep developing your game into the future.
This workshop is focused on physical, tabletop games (boards, cards, and dice, etc) rather than computer games, and we'll use materials from the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse for our pieces. It is a beginners workshop, aimed at adults and kids 14 & up, with little or no experience designing games.
Instructor Vynce Montgomery has been playing and dreaming up games for decades, and is excited to help other game enthusiasts explore the creative side of the field.
