What if your neighbor was the person who lived across the street from you and the person who lived across town? What if your neighbor was the person you immediately related to and the person who seemed to have nothing in common with you? How would this change your view of your neighborhood and your view of San Antonio?These are the questions we are asking at Know Your Neighbor. To truly understand San Antonio, who do we need to know and count as our neighbor? By sharing stories and experiences, we hope to create a more whole story about what life is like in San Antonio for all our neighbors.

This Board Bootcamp is designed for people interested in becoming thoughtful, effective board members in San Antonio.It will introduce the foundations of nonprofit governance and help participants better understand what board service actually looks like in practice. Together, we’ll explore the roles and responsibilities of board members, what makes a high-performing board, and how strong governance can help organizations respond more faithfully and effectively to the realities facing our neighbors.Breakfast will be served.
