Hack Night: Saturdays at the Bellingham Makerspace
Every Saturday, the Bellingham Makerspace opens its doors for Hack Night, a free, weekly gathering for anyone curious about technology, making, and learning together. It’s a hybrid event, so you can join us in person or online.
Everyone is welcome. Really.
Whether you’re a seasoned engineer, a student, a hobbyist, or have never touched a command line, you belong here. We don’t tolerate discrimination of any kind, and there are no dumb questions. Some of our best conversations start with a question someone was nervous to ask. Asking is how we all learn.
What we talk about
Anything at the intersection of tech and making, including:
- Cyber security
- Making toys accessible to children with disabilities
- What the “best” hardware actually is for your needs and budget
- Upcycling e-waste into an on-prem AI setup
- Whatever you’re stuck on or excited about
How the night works
- Introductions and “Joust.” We say hello and play our icebreaker game.
- Short session. A half-hour talk or demo on a topic of interest. Many are planned by attendees in advance, and you’re welcome to propose one.
- Social and project time. Bring a project, homework, or an idea, and work on it alongside others. Collaboration is the point, and we play fun, educational games along the way.
