<P>On March 8th, Bloomington's Code for America Brigade <A HREF="https://github.com/BMGhack/civic-hacking" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BMGHack</A> will be hosting our <A HREF="http://opendataday.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Open Data Day</A> event (a few days late!). We invite you to come participate in Open Data projects and discussions about Bloomington. We'll review <A HREF="https://data.bloomington.in.gov/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">resources currently available</A> and explore ways of making them better.</P>
<P>For example, our <A HREF="https://data.bloomington.in.gov/dataset/open311" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Open311 data</A> is available, but do the categories or service names make sense? There is an <A HREF="https://github.com/moqri/311-service-classification/tree/master/standard" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">open source project</A> to compare the way different cities classify these issues. Let's add Bloomington's to the list, and see if we can come up with a better structure.</P>
