WHO THIS CLINIC IS FOR

You’ve been mountain biking long enough to be comfortable on singletrack trails. You know how to shift and brake and are comfortable at a trail area like Betasso. You want to learn the skills you need to corner confidently.

DESCRIPTION

You’ve mastered a lot of skills, but now you’re looking to ride that twisty trail more smoothly or faster. In this clinic designed for adept riders, you’ll discover how to corner with confidence in tight switchbacks and rail corners at trail speeds. We will spend the beginning of the class reviewing Foundation skills.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

  • Perform high-speed cornering
  • Tackle berms
  • Corner at low speeds for tight switchbacks
  • Master track stands
  • Develop vision to look through the turns

This is an intermediate class.

Maximum 10 students. No matter how you ride your bike, you're about to ride it better!

Clinic meets at Erie Singletrack at the new parking lot at the northwest corner of the intersection of Weld County Rd 6 and Weld County Rd 5.

Start Time: 5:30 pm (please be there at 5:15 pm to allow ample prep time)

The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance's mission is to serve as a positive voice for mountain biking in Boulder County, Colorado by improving the trail experience for all users through social rides and events, advocacy, and trail building. Great communities build trails, and great trails build community.

To fulfill this mission, the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance works towards three major goals:• Create a Community of Mountain Bikers• Advocate for Trail Access• Build and Maintain Trails

The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance has a renewed emphasis to increase the number of trails in Boulder city and county, but more importantly, building a community that embraces mountain biking as a viable passive recreational activity that creates community, engages youth & beginners, and builds a new constituency of environmental stewards.

BMA has developed developed community events as part of a strategic initiative to raise both awareness of their good work and much needed resources to fund the heavy lift of advocacy, trail development and outreach programs.
