Where does the money go?
The Blue Tip Festival Committee is a non-profit, fundraising organization that supports Wadsworth based non-profit groups. In 2023, the committee was able to raise over $40,000 in support to over 25 local organizations. These groups are the difference makers in our community. Some of these organization include the Salvation Army, Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts, Wadsworth FISH, Marian’s Closet, The Giving Doll, Shop with a Cop, and many more!
How do I train for this event?
Teams should meet to discuss their strategy before the pull. Everyone on one side of the rope? Staggered along the rope? Strongest pullers in front, in back? This event requires strength and endurance. Arm-over-arm sled drags will mimic the rope pull. Sled pulls will help strengthen your legs, core and back.
