In this workshop, children will learn how to bring a sock puppet to life. The participants will be guided through the process of using common craft items to make the features resembling their puppet's personality.

* Materials will be provided on-site.

About the artist: 

Daniela Marciana is a Colombian artisan, performer, designer, community-social worker/builder, and multi-disciplinary artist. She has collaborated and worked within the administrative, and artistic development and set up team with different festivals, companies and organizations in the city of Toronto  as well as USA, Colombia and Cuba. Daniela is interested in the arts as a powering tool for community development and social change. Over the last few years Daniela has developed her own brand of Jewelry and accessories named Marciana Artisanal Designs.



HAPPENING Multicultural Festival is the first and only Toronto festival created by community artists, giving center stage to the talent and skills of immigrant, newcomer, and refugee artists. This multi-arts platform includes music, dance, visual arts, community-engaged arts, storytelling, spoken word, and poetry. HAPPENING gives space to embrace the cultural richness of our city while creating professional development opportunities for artists, as well as offering a platform for organizations to connect, and form meaningful collaborations.
