Maeve McCool will teach block printing using a custom design that was inspired by the work of Beatrix Farrand and our own garden. Attendees will have the opportunity to block print the item of their choice and then customize it with embroidery or watercolor. This event is all-ages and all materials will be provided.<a href="https://maevemccool.com/contact" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Maeve McCool </a>(she/her/hers) is a visual artist based in Catskill, NY. Her work aims to consider memory, decay, and regrowth through detailed drawings, prints, and mixed media techniques. Specifically, McCool studies how capitalist production rises and falls and how rural American communities emotionally connect to industry versus nature, and ideas of home, femininity, and loss. This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
