Black Writers Overcoming the Block – Virtual Workshop

A 4-week, 8-session online writing experience designed to help Black writers of any genre break free from writer’s block, spark creativity, and balance writing with everyday life.

Twice a week, you’ll join a supportive community on Zoom for 90-minute sessions filled with practical strategies, inspiring guest speakers, and two 10-minute in-class writing sprints (3 minutes to brainstorm, 7 minutes to write). You’ll also receive real-time feedback in breakout rooms and leave each class with new words on the page.

By the end of the program, you’ll have a polished piece ready for inclusion in a published anthology celebrating the diverse voices of Black writers. Participants can purchase the anthology at a discounted $15 rate.

Whether you write fiction, poetry, essays, or memoir, this workshop will help you build momentum, trust your voice, and join a growing network of Black creatives.

Duration: 4 Weeks – 2 Sessions per Week – 1.5 Hours Each
Format: Zoom Pro (virtual)
Cost: $20 per participant
Final Goal: Submit your work for our group anthology
