About the Karajan Institute:TheEliette and Herbert von Karajan Institutewas founded in 2005 byEliette von Karajanto promote the artistic legacy of her late husband,Herbert von Karajan. With more than 3.300 live performances and over 2.200 recordings of more than 750 classical works the conductor`s unique legacy covers the most important classical compositions. The incredibly huge catalogue with its complex meta data opens up endless possibilities in a technology driven world. In addition to managing the music catalogue, one of the aims of the institute is to present and support initiatives in the field of music technology. In two disciplines - Campus Urstein and Campus Kuchl - 17 Bachelor's, 10 Master's degree programs and a postgraduate master's program are offered in the disciplines ofEngineering,Business and Social Sciences,Design, Media & Artsas well asHealth Studies.

<H2>Welcome to the Blockchain &amp; Music Hackathon!</H2>
The Eliette and Herbert von Karajan Institute, Open Music Initiative (MIT/Berklee College of Music) and Red Bull Media House are joining forces in a Blockchain-Hackathon at the Karajan Music Tech Conference in Salzburg March 21-22. The hackathon will be hosted at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. Red Bull Media House is inviting hackers to take on their “Music Portfolio Challenge” to build a blockchain-based music micro-licensing platform.

This ticket is for independent, academic or company developers and/or for people that have some great ideas and knowledge of tech and/or classical music and wants to bring in, share and enhance their ideas. 
Please note that those Company Developers who want to present to facilitate others' hacks using their company's API need to get in touch additionally with Matthias Röder, matthias.roeder@karajan.org or by phone  +43 676 46 77 111.

This ticket is for people, companies, press etc. who will not be active hackers and just want to join the pitches and presentations.
