BLKSITE - ZERO

BLKSITE - ZERO is a BLKOUT event taking place on 10th October at The Outpost in Sheffield.

Whether you're a seasoned BLKOUT operator or looking to get your first games in, come along for a day of fast-paced, tactical sci-fi skirmish gaming, great opponents and a welcoming community.

Event Overview

Welcome to BLKSITE - ZERO, a day of tactical sci-fi skirmish gaming using the BLKOUT ruleset.

Players will bring a small pool of units and handlers to the event, with the mission determining which units they deploy into each game. Missions will be announced on the day.

The aim is to provide a competitive but welcoming environment where players can adapt their forces between rounds and make tactical decisions based on the mission at hand.

Army / Unit Pool

Each player must bring the following:

• Up to 5 Unit Cards
• Up to 3 Handler Cards

Of the 5 Unit Cards, a maximum of 2 may be a BLKLIST unit.

This collection of Unit and Handler Cards forms the player's Unit Pool for the entire event.

Players may not change their Unit Pool between rounds.

Deployment

At the start of each round, the mission will specify how many units are required.

Players must select the required number of units from their Unit Pool for that game.

This means players will need to consider their available options and adapt their force selection to the mission being played.

Missions

Missions will be specified and announced on the day.

Players should therefore bring their complete Unit Pool and be prepared to deploy different combinations of units across the three rounds.

Event Schedule

10:00 - Player Briefing

10:15 - Round 1

11:45 - Break

12:00 - Round 2

13:30 - Lunch

14:15 - Round 3

15:45 - Event Conclusion

Round Timing

Each round will consist of:

• 1 hour 30 minutes of game time
• 15 minute break between games
• 45 minute lunch break after Round 2

Players should ensure they are ready to begin each round promptly.

Sportsmanship

BLKSITE - ZERO is intended to be a competitive event, but above all we want everyone to have a great day.

Players are expected to:

• Play fairly and follow the BLKOUT rules.
• Treat opponents, organisers and venue staff with respect.
• Help maintain a friendly and welcoming environment.
• Ask an organiser for clarification if a rules dispute cannot be resolved between players.

Final Notes

Players are responsible for bringing everything required to play their games, including:

• Their Unit Pool
• Up to 3 Handlers
• Appropriate cards and rules
• Dice
• Measuring equipment
• Tokens and other gaming accessories

Missions and any additional event-specific information will be announced at the player briefing.
