Mark your calendars for a first-of-its-kind partnership between the Worcester Writers' Collective and the Blackstone Heritage Corridor! Blackstone Story Walks features original prose and poetry by Worcester County residents printed and hung along the Blackstone River Multi-Use Trail, inspired by the valley's rich history, imagery, and memory.
On Sunday, April 27th, please join us for a celebration of this project at 11:00 am in the Blackstone River Valley Heritage Center (3 Paul Clancy Way, Worcester, MA 01607) for light refreshments, acknowledgements, and a reading of the pieces from the writers themselves. Please RSVP using this Eventbrite for the reception!
On Sunday, April 27th, please join us for the grand unveiling of the 15 pieces through a hands-on installation of the signs as we stroll the trail and fasten them to the bridges along the path! If you would like to join us during the installation, we will gather at the Blackstone Valley Bike Path parking lot (207 N Main St, Millbury, MA 01527) at 9:50 am and begin installing signs at 10:00 am. Please click this link for a separate RSVP form to let us know you'll be there!
Admission for all activities is free and open to the public. Come celebrate National Poetry Month and connect with the natural world right in Worcester County's backyard, all in one fell swoop!
