<a href="http://blackbirdplaysf.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Blackbird</a>, David Harrower&#x27;s chilling tale about Love and Loss.This intense work was commissioned by the Edinburgh International Festival, where it received its world premiere. After years in prison and subsequent hardships, Ray, 56, has new identity and has made a new life for himself, thinking that he cannot be found. Una, 27, has thought of nothing else. Upon seeing a photo of Ray in a magazine, she has arrived unannounced at this office. Guilt, rage and raw emotions run high as they recollect the passionate relationship they had 15 years ago when she as 12 and he was 40. Without any moral judgment, the play never shies away from the brutal truth of this abandoned and unconventional love. Una is looking for answers, not vengeance. Nevertheless, the consequences are shattering.----------------------Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. Run time approximately 90 mins with no intermission.Graphic language and adult content. No one under 12 admitted, and under 18 only admitted with a parental guardian.All ticket sales are final. Online ticket sales end one hour before curtain, cash only at the door afterwards.Doors close at 5 minutes before curtain, and late arrivals may be refused entry with no refund.Firescape Theatre adheres to all Covid protocols mandated by the State of California and County of San Francisco. Proof of vaccination (boosted), negative antigen test within 24 hours or negative PCR test within 72 hours required for admission. Masks are highly recommended but not required while in the theatre. Actors will not be masked but are vaccinated (boosted) and adhere to stated testing policies. Patrons who do not comply will be refused admission or asked to leave, and no refund will be given.
