Join us for our 20th Anniversary Crab Feast and Beach Party at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland. Come prepared to share an afternoon full of delicious crabs and food, great fellowship, and fun and games with Black Ski members, family and friends, in the East Beach area. We'll have seating under 3 pavilions - Osprey, Heron and Peregrine. However, many guests bring their lawn chairs, portable tables, canopies and special sauces. Lefty's Barbecue is our food caterer and Harris Seafood will provide our crabs. ALL FOOD MUST BE CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES.

Frequently asked questions

Is Parking Available?

Yes! This year we will have enough parking spaces for all guests to park in the East Beach Parking Lot, adjacent to our pavilions. You will be given a parking pass when you purchase your tickets.

Why do I need a Parking Pass?

The Park will close to guests if it reaches capacity. If this happens, guests are turned around when they reach the park entrance or sooner. Display your Parking Pass on your dashboard so Security will know you have a space in the Reserved East Beach Area lot. Show your pass there, to be admitted.

How do I get my Parking Pass?

When you purchase your ticket be sure to give your email address and a Pass will be emailed to you. If you cannot open and print a PDF file, or do not have an email address, include your mailing/shipping address and a Pass will be mailed to you.

Will there be live entertainment?

No, amplified music is prohibited. However, small Speakers and Boom Boxes are allowed.

Can I purchase more tickets at the event?

There will be NO SALES of any kind at the event. It is against Park rules to exchange money on State Park property, aside from at the retail establishments in the Marina Area.

Will there be swimming at the Crab Feast?

Yes, you will be able to swim. There will be a patrolling Life Guard on the East Beach, depending on staffing that day. Life Guards on stands are on the South Beach. Always swim with others and with caution and be sure to watch children carefully. Watch out for jelly fish in the water.

Black Ski, Inc. (BSI) is a 501(c)7 ski club founded in 1972. BSI is100% volunteer run by its members. Members are elected to the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee and /or volunteer to serve on various committees to support club operations. Although we are a ski club and run ski trips during the winter months, BSI members volunteer to organize various club activities all year round. We have events and outings that include hiking, cycling, sailing, golfing trips and clinics, attending theater shows and concerts, a Family Bike Ride & BBQ, a Memorial Day weekend Family Cookout, a Crab Feast, Happy Hours and a Holiday party. We promote any activity that a club member is willing to coordinate and others are interested in doing.
