Black SEL Summit is a place that  highlights and elevates educators and voices of African American people and allies in the SEL field.

Black SEL Summit looks to reach, teach and build a system of strong black leaders and allies that understand the importance of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and ways to expose and sustain SEL in black communities. Black SEL will highlight and elevate the educators and voices of African American people in the social-emotional field. Black SEL is SEL that is infused with a cultural lens that speaks to the lived experiences and needs of Black students and communities. Black SEL acknowledges that Black students face a unique set of challenges related to racism, prejudice, and marginalization. Given the ongoing racial trauma and stress many Black students experience, these challenges can negatively impact their academic performance and overall social-emotional health.We look forward to you joining us this year to " SAY IT LOUD." Your collaboration is critical. We need you to help us lift every voice and build the world we want to see.Proceeds generated from ticket sales will help build the capacity for Dangers of the Mind's Education Fund.
