About this event

  • 2 hours

If you are a bit new to the Seattle area, you've probably noticed that it takes some intentionality to connect with other Black people. We got you. Hey, Black Seattle exists to connect us to Black community and cultural experiences. Leave the house for a moment and meet some other Black folks.

And...even if you have been here for a while, come out and be Black with us while we continue to take up space and support each other here in the Emerald City.

Our May 2024 session will happen in the heart of the Central District, the city of Seattle's historic Black neighborhood.

  • We will start at Madespace Seattle for some meet & greet time. This month we'll be joined by Emmy-Award Winning Artist, Activist, & Community Leader TraeAnna Holiday! You may have seen her on her show "The Day with Trae" now learn a bit about her Seattle roots.
  • Weather permitting, we'll head out for a walk to check out local art and shops in Midtown Square.

In the meantime, visit heyblackseattle.com to find resources for your Black life.

Your ticket purchase also enters you into a prize raffle. Winners will be selected at the meetup and must be present to claim their prize.

Kids 12 and younger may attend for free.

April meetup group had a blast!
