Is this event free?

No, this event is not free, this is essentially an RSVP to the event. When you arrive at the gym (LA Boulders), you will let them know you are there for Black Rocks and you will pay for a $20 day pass, this pass will include entry to the gym along with rental shoes and rental chalk.

Are their any discounts for this event?

Accepted Answer

Yes! If you have medical or EBT you can get an ATC day pass for $10 when you come into the gym. Shoe and chalk are included in the ATC pass. You have to show a valid EBT or medical card with your ID to match. If this is your time at a any Touchstone gym, it will be free entry for your first time.

Is there rope climbing? Do you need a harness & gear etc?

No, LA Boulders is not a rope climbing gym there is only bouldering, no harness needed or involved. Only "gear" you will need is climbing shoes which is included in the $20 event pass.

Question 4

Do you need to sign a waiver?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You will need to sign a waiver to climb and be in the facility. You can fill out the waiver beforehand at touchstoneclimbing.com . You will also have to show your ID when you arrive at the facility, if it's your first time at a touchstone gym.

Question 5

If I'm a touchstone member do I have to pay for this event?

Accepted Answer

No! If you have a membership at at any touchstone gym this event is free for you, you will check in regularly.

Question 6

If I've never climbed or am very new/ inexperinced to climbing can I come?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We love and welcome new comers; if you've only climbed once, a few times, or have never climbed we would love to have you. This event is for all levels and expertise of climbing, we will always go over the basics with you and show you the ropes.

Question 7

Is this event for all ages?

Accepted Answer

All ages are welcome at this event! However if you are 18, your parents will need to fill out a waiver for you before hand & you will need to bring your ID. If you are under 13 you will need to be accompanied by  a parent at all times while at the facility, they will have to stay within arms length.

Question 8

Is this a recurring event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this event is once a month, every 2nd Friday of the month, from 7-9 pm.
