About the organizer

HILT Black Light Theatre Prague was founded in 2007. The main idea was to put together experienced black theatre actors and dancers and to use these different experiences in a new theatre group. HILT is the abbreviation of "Hoidekr Interactive Light Theatre" - its founder and director is Theodor Hoidekr - and this group often likes to break the barrier and interact with the audience. This group has visited many countries with their show - Malta Slovakia Germany Greece Poland Ecuador Guatemala China and India. The group was twice awarded at World Theatre Olympics 2018 in India.

Black light theatre Prague - El teatro negro de Praga

(černé divadlo) es un tipo de representación escénica muda que se caracteriza por llevarse a cabo en un escenario negro a oscuras, con una iluminación estratégica que da lugar a un fantástico juego de luz y de sombras. Pese a estar presente en otros puntos del planeta, el teatro negro es principalmente llevado a cabo en Praga, capital de la República Checa, que le da su nombre.
La técnica empleada le distingue de otros tipos de representación teatral. Se utilizan cortinas negras, un escenario de color oscuro, linternas negras y trajes fosforescentes. Esta técnica de la caja negra fue desarrollada por Georges Méliès, y por el innovador Stanislavsky. La danza, las representaciones mímicas y las acrobacias tienen igualmente una gran importancia en el teatro negro, y fue creada en el año de 1950.
