Khoolah (unification in Arabic) was founded to create and promote culturally relevant experiences for Muslims in America. Muslims and non-Muslim are welcome to our events. We seek to create spaces of celebration where all people can co-exist while keeping their own unique identities.

Join us for the Black Iftar Event, Saturday, May 25, 2019 from 8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. at the Wyoming Civic Center!
This event not only gives muslims and non- muslims the opportunities to learn more about the Holy month of Ramadan, it’s various customs, and the rarely told history of the contributions of African and African American Muslims in Islam; the event evokes a conversation with the community intended to avail us to perspectives and viewpoints outside of our own.
Literally meaning to “break”, Iftar is the process of breaking the daily fast at sun down. Iftar is a time to come together as a family and or community and reflect on the day’s fast.
To provide our guests with the best possible experience, the event will include a variety of interactive and unique activities. We will be joined by a special guest, Samira Abderrahman, the founder of Black Iftar. 
Of course, an Iftar event would not be complete without incredible food. The food will be catered by MUNCH, an upscale catering company that prepares foods with robust flavors, plated to perfection.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to a local non-profit. We look forward to hosting you!
