The Office of Economic Impact & Diversity and Blacks In Government present a Black History Month Celebration!

Please join Secretary Brouillette, the Office of Economic Impact and Diversity (ED), and the Blacks in Government (BIG) Energy Chapter for the Department’s celebration of Black History Month on Thursday, February 20, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Forrestal Main Auditorium. 
Our program will feature a fireside chat with Secretary Brouillette, Director James Campos, Office of Economic Impact and Diversity, and Julius “J.C.” Watts, Former Congressman and Chairman of the recently launched Black News Channel. Additionally, Ms. Kay Coles James, President of the Heritage Foundation, and Dr. Harry Williams, President and CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, will share their thoughts and reflections on the impact of African Americans on our Nation.
Notably, this year marks the 150th anniversary of the ratification of the Fifteenth Amendment, which granted black men the right to vote, and the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the Nineteenth Amendment, which provided women the right to vote.
