Join national BIPOC leaders in classical theater as they discuss what has been accomplished and what remains to be done in the transformation of American theatre and the relevancy of Shakespeare production in our world.

The 90-minute discussion will be a hybrid event with speakers both in person and online. Questions will be welcomed from both the live audience and online and there will be a specific online moderator. It will also include frank discussion about race and gender both in the context of creating productions of Shakespeare and in the theatrical community at large. Also, the webinar will be hosted on the Elm Shakespeare website for future viewing.

This event is possible through support from CT Humanities, Yale University, the City of New Haven Dept. of Arts Culture and Tourism, and the Elizabethan Club.
