About this event

  • 5 hours

You are cordially invited to a Black Fae Day gathering at Miller Park on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

Black Fae Day is our celebration of diversity in High Fantasy, across genre and media. Established in 2021 by Jasmine La Fleur, #blackfaeday aims to promote representation of Black people in fantasy spaces. The celebration showcases the creativity, voices, narratives and shared experiences of Black communities. The House is the first organization to recognize and participate in Black Fae Day in the state of Nebraska, and is delighted to create a space for all fairies, elves, mermaids, wizards and magical folk.

ALL ARE WELCOME + COSTUMES ENCOURAGED!!!

We'll have vendors, face painting, outdoor games, Anthony The Balloon Guy, photography sessions, crafts, and more!

Frequently asked questions

Will there be food?

We are securing food trucks, but it's the park so feel free to bring a basket of fairy delights (aka outdoor picnic food).

Is there a cost?

Nope! This event is free and open to the public. We just ask that you RSVP so we know how many to expect, and know that there will be vendors selling goods and food.
