At a certain point, I realized that it was becoming a reflection of a lot of the anxiety and uncertainty of those days... Listen with open ears and try to fit it together." —George Crumb on "Black Angels"This quartet formed around George Crumb's "Black Angels." The plan was hatched when Dan and Myra carpooled to Suzuki teacher training in Deerfield. They found the other half of the quartet through the Civic Orchestra. Every member of this quartet can be seen outside of the orchestra halls of Chicago performing chamber music of all sorts.
