It will emphasize the promotion of local artisans, musicians, and entrepreneurs, fostering a sense of pride and unity among Brooklynites.As Hip Hop moves into the 50th Anniversary and we celebrate across the nation with concerts and performances to mark this special occasion, we are excited to invite you to be a part of our Hip Hop Symposium on Friday September 29, 2023 at the historic Billie Holiday Theater @ Restoration Plaza. The BKLYN Rocks Hip Hop Symposium is part of an entire weekend of events at Restoration Plaza commemorating the 50th year of Hip Hop - a musical genre that has traditionally been a vehicle for addressing and expressing community issues and concerns. As the nation’s oldest community development organization, we look to celebrate the voice of the culture through our symposium series, and we are excited to add your voice to the conversation.Through a series of events, exhibitions, and collaborations, the inaugural BKLYN ROCKS will create a platform for emerging talents to shine while highlighting the neighborhood&#x27;s grassroots initiatives that champion sustainability, social justice, and inclusivity.
