Join us at Confluence Park for Birding the San Antonio River with Mark Menjívar on Sunday, May 19, 9:00 – 11:00AM and learn about local and migrating birds seen along the San Antonio River!

Birding is about so much more than just birds. It is about looking, listening, and exploring. It is about imagination, color, texture, songs, movement and more! Mark Menjívar has partnered with the San Antonio River Foundation to provide a bird walk to teach adults and children of all ages how to identify birds found in habitats surrounding Confluence Park and the Mission Reach.

Register now to reserve your spot! Birding the San Antonio River with Mark Menjívar is free and open to the public with free parking provided at Confluence Park (310 W Mitchell). Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, close-toed shoes and bring a reusable water bottle. Binoculars will be provided.

About Mark Menjívar

Mark Menjívar is a San Antonio based artist and Associate Professor in the School of Art and Design at Texas State University. His work explores diverse subjects through photography, archives, oral history and participatory project structures.
