Birding Photography Workshop

December 12 - 16, 2015

Bosque del Apache, New Mexico

Description of Workshop:

Join Rick Sammon and Chris Klapheke for some great bird photography in and around Bosque del Apache, New Mexico. Bosque is legendary for its beautiful light and extrodinary bird subjects. The location is well-known to photographers who flock there to take images of the Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese during their seasonal migration. Rick and Chris have been to Bosque many times and know the best locations, equipment and techniques needed to cature the color, action and spendor of the morning "blast off" and evening sunsets. Shooting locations include Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, a junkyard that's great for HDR and, time permitting, a field trip to photograph the radio towers at the Very Large Array (VLA) at night.

In addition to shooting sessions with Rick and Chris, there will be daily group downloading and processing sessions.

This is an excellent workshop for photographers looking to improve their bird, nature and landscape photography.

For this workshop, participants are responsible for their own transportation, accommodations, meals and park fees ($5 per day). We provide photographic instruction and guidance, and arrange shooting locations, meeting times, and conference rooms.
