BIRDING FOR ALL AT DISTANT HILL

You are invited to do some late spring birding at Distant Hill Gardens and Nature Trail on Saturday, June 15th from 8-10am. Avid birders Wendy Ward from NRCS, and Nate Marchessault from the Harris Center, will be co-leading this birding event exploring the forests, fields, and wetlands of Distant Hill. We will be looking for interesting species, as well as learning to identify the birds by their songs and calls.

We'll be looking for birds like the Chestnut-sided Warbler above. And it is late enough in the season that we may see some nesting birds like the pair of Red-eyed Vireos seen below!

With over 100 species of birds documented at Distant Hill, there is a good chance you may see or hear a species or two that are new to you!

And don't worry if you don't have binoculars. We have a few extra pairs you can borrow!

Registration is Required & Space is Limited

Beginning birders welcome!

'Birding for All' outings are designed for people of all abilities, including those who have accessibility challenges due to a disability or other health concern. Here at Distant Hill we have been inspired by the Harris Center's 'Affinity Groups Initiative'. In an effort to create more belonging and inclusivity, this outing has been designed with a specific group of people in mind.

Co-sponsored by the Harris Center for Conservation Education and Distant Hill Gardens and Nature Trail.
