2nd Annual #BirdLADay at UCLA

Join the Bruin Naturalists Club and the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability for a guided tour and presentation about the birds that call UCLA home. #BirdLADay is an Audubon California Initiative created to bring environmental non-profits and Angelenos together to celebrate birds and biodiversity across Los Angeles on May 7, 2016. <A TARGET="_blank" HREF="http://www.birdla.org/" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">www.birdla.org</A>

Guided Bird Walk and Bird Bingo at the UCLA Mildred E. Mathias Botanical Garden
We will meet at the southeast corner of Tiverton and Charles E. Young Dr. South in UCLA
A living museum housing diverse plants from around the world, UCLA's botanical garden is home to many of LA's native and exotic bird species. On this bird walk, members of the Bruin Naturalists Club will guide you through the garden to view and identify resident species. Prizes will go to those who see 5 in a row on our bird bingo cards! Please RSVP and BYOB (bring your own binoculars).

Cocktail Presentation: The Birds of UCLA
UCLA La Kretz Hall, Suite 300
Enjoy wine and food on the hummingbird feeder- filled UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability patio. Sid Shah, IoES Alum, will give a brief presentation followed by Q&A on the extensive undergrad-led 2015 survey of birds on the UCLA campus. As the campus landscape has changed over several years, so has the campus biodiversity.
