The Duval Soil and Water Conservation District was created in July of 1953 under the authority created by the Soil Conservation Act, passed by Florida Legislature in 1937. The Duval SWCD was organized by concerned citizens of Duval County to help landowners and users to conserve land, water, forests, wildlife and related natural resources.Our mission is to deliver natural resources conservation technology and education to local landowners and users and to promote the wise use of land and best management practices that will conserve, improve and sustain the natural resources of Duval County.

Volunteers are needed to help planting our bioswale this weekend!

Regeneration Park

We need your help installing plant material in our bioswale on Saturday, Oct. 2nd at 9am!We will have a light breakfast thanks to a generous donation from Community Loaves and Cindy Corey, Realtor.If you are a student, you can earn volunteer hours.Please bring gloves, water, and wear closed-toed shoes. If you have shovels, trowels, or rakes, please feel free to bring to share.Please note: There are no restrooms on the premises. Parking is available on the street or at the nearby church, Christ Tabernacle Mssnry Baptist. By signing up for this event you are allowing the Duval Soil and Water Conservation District to use your photo or video in promotional material.
