Biodesign Challenge Summit 2021

Biodesign Challenge is a nonprofit education program and competition in which university and high school students collaborate with instructors in art, design, and biology to envision bold and futuristic projects that address pressing issues in sustainability. Each June, students showcase their projects at the BDC Summit, held at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and Parsons School of Design. <p>Join us at Biodesign Challenge Summit 2021! Watch 53 finalist teams from across the world present innovative biodesigns to a panel of leaders in academia and industry. Students will showcase new ideas for the future of medicine, architecture, fashion, food, materials, bioethics, and more. One team will go home with the coveted Glass Microbe! </p><p>This year's BDC finalists come from high schools and universities in 20 countries. Our competition and education program partners them with artists, designers, and scientists to envision, create, and critique the future of biotechnology. </p><p>NEW GALLERY EXHIBITION: Join us for the online gallery show on Monday, June 21, 3:00pm - 9:00pm ET. <h2><a href="https://ctt.ac/c_c03" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"></a>Help us publish our first book!</h2><p>Biodesign Challenge is publishing its first book: <em>Biodesign Challenge: A Retrospective</em>! For the last year, our team has been editing essays from alumni and practitioners in our community to celebrate our first five years.
</p><p>The book is a full-color, 236-page catalog anticipating the forthcoming Retrospective exhibition at Philadelphia’s University City Science Center and a deep dive into the perspectives shaping biodesign.
</p><p>To promote the book, we’re running a <strong>Kickstarter campaign</strong>! The campaign will begin on <strong>June 21,</strong> the first day of the 2021 Summit, and will run for 30 days. 
</p><p>
