The BILLY STRAYHORN PROJECT is an evening of music celebrating the life and legacy of <a href="https://billystrayhorn.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Billy Strayhorn</a>, considered one the greatest arrangers, composers, lyricists and pianists of the 20th century, and the creative genius behind such great songs as <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtYvGJaIRn0" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">TAKE THE &quot;A&quot; TRAIN</a>, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYGopK5MqLI" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">LOTUS BLOSSOM</a> and <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UabjtABtCrQ" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">LUSH LIFE</a>.The evening coincides with the annual birthday tributes to Billy Strayhorn (November 29, 1915 - May 31, 1967) and features host and <a href="https://www.seattletimes.com/entertainment/lsquobilly-strayhorn-projectrsquo-tribute-to-a-great-jazz-composer/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">&quot;velvety-voiced-vocalist&quot;</a> Tyrone Brown with the <a href="https://www.daveposmontier.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dave Posmontier Trio</a> - Dave Posmontier (piano), Dave Brodie (bass) and Doug Hirlinger (drums).
