This event is made for entrepreneurs and startups that are interested in growth and want to build a connection with the organizers of one of the largest tech conferences in Europe, Viva Technology. At the event you will have plenty of time to ask in-depth questions and get advice on how to accelerate growth for your startup and explore opportunities to work with Viva Tech.
The Event
We are really excited to bring you an evening filled with insights and personal connections with some of the most influential networkers, VCs and tech companies. On the panel Project A, Weltsparen, ReWalk and Viva Technology will discuss the following: What is really working in the European tech industry and what is missing? What does it take for startups in Germany and Europe to have global success and what lessons have they learned along the way? What are the upcoming trends and what should entrepreneurs keep an eye on? All these questions and many more will be discussed and explained with facts, anecdotes and figures, personal experiences and stories by the panelists.
After the panel you’ll have plenty of time to meet the speakers personally and get advice on how to push your own company and projects forward.

The Speakers
KATHARINA LÜTH (Weltsparen/Raisin)
As Head of Europe, Katharina is responsible for scaling internationally and running the non-German language platforms. Weltsparen is one of the most successful Fintech, managing more than 2 billion Euro for their customers. They also just closed a funding deal and received 30 Mio. Euro from investors. Prior to joining Weltsparen (Raisin), Katharina spent 7 years with McKinsey & Company with a focus on asset management and private banking. Katharina holds an MBA from IESE Business School as well as a BSc in International Business with a major in finance from both Northeastern University, MA and Reutlingen University. JOHN FRIJTERS (ReWalk Robotics)
John Frijters is ReWalk Robotics’ VP for Sales & Business Development Europe since 2010. ReWalk Robotics is an innovative medical device company that is designing, developing and commercializing exoskeletons allowing wheelchair-bound individuals to stand and walk once again. The company is listed on the NASDAQ stock market in the US and has investors from all over the world. Before joining ReWalk, John Frijters held positions as VP of Global Sales and Marketing at Berchtold, a Surgical Light and OR solutions manufacturer and in various management roles with Ottobock. He has over 20 years of experience in product management, sales, marketing and business and holds a bachelor degree in Human Kinetic Technology from the The Hague University of Applied Sciences and an M.B.A. from the Executive MBA Program at Kellogg-WHU Evanston/Vallendar. DR. ANTON WAITZ (Project A)
Dr. Anton Waitz is partner at the Berlin-based venture capital fund Project A, where he is responsible for the areas of investments and deal flow. Prior to joining Project A in 2016, Anton Waitz was the managing director of Axel Springer Digital Ventures Inc. where he built up the venture capital activities of the media company in the USA. Waitz holds an MBA from the IESE Business School in Barcelona (Spain). Project A is an operational VC that provides its ventures with capital, an extensive network and access to a wide range of operational expertise. The investor makes use of the €220m in assets under its management to back early-stage companies in the digital technology space. JULIE RANTY & MAXIME BAFFERT (Viva Technology)
Julie Ranty and Maxime Baffert are the Managing Directors at Viva Technology, overseeing the event team for the second Viva Technology in June in Paris. Last year’s event saw 45,000 attendees, 5,000 startups and 600 speakers from around the world. Highlights included keynotes by speakers including Eric Schmidt, Robin Li and David Marcus, and the European premiere of Google’s self-driving car.
 
Before building Viva Technology, Julie joined Les Echos Groupe in 2014 and launched Les Echos Start, a new media outlet dedicated to students and young professionals, which she has managed since then. She holds a degree from HEC University in Paris. Maxime joined Publicis Groupe in 2007 and worked as Executive Assistant of the CEO, before he became CEO of Perfomics France. In 2010, he launched a startup for internal digital communication for SMEs, which became Proximedia Europe in 2014.
