Bike the Cbus 2024

NEW DATE...NEW LOCATION!!

Columbus Ohio’s original city-wide ride since 2008, Bike the Cbus is a bicycle tour, for all ages and abilities.

Join our annual, one-day bicycle tour which takes you through various neighborhoods, past historical sites and along beautiful waterways in and around Columbus, Ohio. The route will be approximately 30 miles long with a shortcut for a 10 mile option, making it accessible for riders of all ages and skill levels.

All routes will be marked and Ride with GPS files will be provided a few days before the ride. Paper maps will also be available. There will be lead and sweep riders to ensure no one gets lost!

This event is run and organized by Yay Bikes! A cycling advocacy and education organization in Columbus. The funds raised from this ride support Yay Bikes! initiatives and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Franklinton Cycle Works. This local bike shop does great things in our host community of Franklinton and throughout the Columbus area.

New this year, we have partnered with Land-Grant Brewing Company as our start and ending location. There will be a great after ride party with a wide range of activities, including vendor stalls, food trucks and entertainment.

We will have a fantastic raffle! You can purchase additional tickets online or on-site up until 11 am. Prizes will be drawn once riders depart. Winners must pick up their prizes by 3:00 pm or forfeit them.

• $ 50 - Day of Ride - June 1, 2024

Registration does not include:

• T-shirt or Jersey (you can purchase during registration or at a later date)
• Breakfast or lunch from food trucks - they will be available for you to purchase from
• Beverages from Land Grant Brewing Company - Beverages will be for sale beginning at 11 am.

Sponsorships Available on Registration Page
Sponsorships help us cover the expenses associated with holding our event. All event profits will be used towards bicycle advocacy and education in the central Ohio area.

Frame Sponsor - $500
This level entitles you to ten registrations for Bike the Cbus 2024 and recognition on our social media, event t-shirt and jersey. A discount code for the free tickets will be sent to the email associated with the sponsorship purchase for distribution.

Wheel Sponsor - $250
This level entitles you to five registrations for Bike the Cbus 2024 and recognition on our social media, event t-shirt and jersey. A discount code for the free tickets will be sent to the email associated with the sponsorship purchase for distribution.

Spoke Sponsor - $100
This level entitles you to two registrations for Bike the Cbus 2024 and recognition on our social media and event t-shirt. A discount code for two free tickets will be sent to the email associated with the sponsorship purchase for distribution.

Children 12 and under
Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a registered adult rider.

Helmets are required on all riders!

Timeline of Events

• 9:30 am - Onsite Registration and Packet Pickup Opens, Vendor Expo Starts, Breakfast Food Trucks!
• 11:00 am - Riders Depart - Riders may choose to leave earlier but must check in first.
• 11:00 am - 3 pm Riders Return to Land-Grant Brewing Company. Post-ride party at Land Grant Brewing Co. Food Trucks and vendors will be on-site!

Merchandise

For those interested, BTCB short-sleeved t-shirts and jerseys are available for purchase online. Youth and adult T-shirt sizes will be available. The shirts will be of high-quality, soft, tri-blend fabric, printed with a full color design. Jerseys are a unisex, club fit design available in Men's and Women's sizes small to 3x-large. Additional items available include: Zeroz Wallets, Bike Bells, Multi-tools, and Bike Levers. Merchandise will also be sold at the ride, but supplies will be limited.

Pre-Ordered Merchandise

Must be picked up by noon on the day of the ride, or it will be sold.

Refunds

Bike the Cbus does not offer refunds on registration for any reason regardless of personal circumstances or weather conditions.

Transfers

Transfers of registrations may be done online through Eventbrite.com. Yay Bikes! is not responsible for accommodating transfers beyond that.

Packet Pick-Up

Packet Pick-Up will begin at 9:30 am the day of the ride. The event ticket must be presented in order to receive the packet.

Note: Riders planning to do the 30 mile route, need to be able to ride an average pace of 10 mph. Riders who cannot maintain that pace, should plan to ride the 10 mile route option.
