Join us for a fun family-friendly bike ride that's educational and offers a chance to win a $250 college savings plan deposit and other great prizes! 
Bike Bash, organized by Money Smart Week Iowa, combines bicyciling with financial literacy. Play our financial literacy game, centered around the costs of raising a family and education, to be entered for your chance to win one of five $250 college savings plan deposits.
Ride will begin at Mullets in downtown Des Moines at 11 a.m. Arrive early to play our game and get entered for your chance to win.
There will be three route options all on trails:
Penny Pinchers (Short Route): Approx. 5 miles Savvy Spenders (Medium Route): Approx. 10-12 miles Super Savers (Long Route): Approx. 25 miles
Route maps will be available prior to the event, at Mullets. 
The event is FREE, but registration is required. First 100 riders to register will receive a free event t-shirt. T-shirt availability and size is not guaranteed. Registrations will continue until the day of the event.

Packet and T-Shirt Pickup will take place on Friday, April 27 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Bike World West in West Des Moines. You can play our game and enter to win during this time, if you'd prefer.

Contest Rules 
Registered riders have the opportunity to play a financial literacy game via computer, phone or tablet during Packet Pickup or prior to the start of the ride. Five college savings plan deposits will be awarded to the top scoring riders. In the event of a tie, a random drawing will take place.
Winners must be a registered rider in order to claim the prize - a $250 College Savings Iowa deposit.
Riders are not required to have a College Savings Iowa account to enter the giveaway; however, potential winners must have a College Savings Iowa account naming an Eligible Student as the beneficiary in order to receive the prize. Potential winners who do not have a College Savings Iowa account naming an Eligible Student as the beneficiary must open one, and provide the necessary information to the sponsor, within thirty (30) days after being notified they are a potential winner, in order to be declared a winner and receive the prize otherwise they will be declared ineligible and forfeit the award. Any award that is forfeit will not be awarded to any other Eligible Participant, Applicant, potential Winner, or Eligible Student.
All Applicants, as a condition of participation or entering in this Giveaway, agree to defend, indemnify, release and hold harmless Sponsor and Released Parties from and against any and all liability, claims, damages, injuries or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages, or losses to persons or property which may be sustained in connection with: (a) accessing the Sponsor's Website; (b) participating in any aspect of the Giveaway, including, without limitation, while preparing for, participating in and/or traveling to or from any Award- or Giveaway-related activity, including, without limitation, any injury, damage, death, loss or accident to person or property; (c) the receipt, ownership, possession, use or misuse of any money awarded; (d) viruses or any downloading or other problems with the Giveaway application; or (e) any typographical, printing, or other error in these Official Rules, advertisements, or the announcement of offering of any Award. Each Winner bears all liability and risk of loss to his/her respective Award after it has been delivered.
