These Workshops are all open to the public featuring Salem's finest local artists and artisans!

Join us on June 7th from 7-9 for our Opening Reception for "Bijou," with live music and mingling. ChagallPAC is delighted to announce a group exhibition titled "Bijou," featuring the visual works of Ray Gilbert, Rachel Redux, Zenovia, Osmar K de Leon, Salem Fairy Forest, Diana Norma Sozokolyai, and Holy Crow. This exhibition will run from June 7th to July 31st 2024. Our opening Reception on June 7th will feature some of our artists in attendance, and live music by Victor Pachas. BIJOU is desirable, sought-after, elegant. A jewel, a trinket, a treasure. Shaped by fingers, ornamental, delicate, prized workmanship. From haunting photos, dreamlike paintings, and bejeweled shrines, the selected works are modern treasure. Rare, handmade, and elegant. MEET THE ARTISTSRachel Redux is a madcap photographer inspired by decay and lost memories. These images were created by crossing boundaries into obscure worlds. Holy Crow is Art, Design, and Evidence of Magic. They create magical artifacts inspired from Witchpunk, radical adornment, and divination. Ray Gilbert works in multiple mixed medium paintings and woodcuts. His work draws much from current life events creating contemporary historical paintings. A work is deemed finished when a coherent balance between color, space and form has been accomplished. Zenovia draws inspiration from the artists of the 1960s in CA, assemblage, mosaics, and memory ware. Her work is a union of her Greek Orthodox grandmother’s home altars and the era of psychedelic glue art. The result is spiritual in nature, but light and joyful. Osmar K. De Leon is a self-taught artist from Lynn who makes surreal art with charcoal, black ink, paint, and pens. He takes inspiration from all sorts of media like books, powems, movies, music, and artists like Junji-Ito. Salem Fairy Forest is a Romani-owned artisan craft &amp; jewelry artist making reiki-infused crafts. Those who wish can use these as amulets, for protection, manifestation &amp; healing. Diana Norma Szokolyai/World Poetry Salon: Led by poet Diana Norma Szokolyai, World Poetry Salon is free and open to the public. Part book club, part generative writing workshop, culminating in a poetry installation and performance that the participants collaborate on. Performance at ChagallPAC on Sunday June 9th from 4-5pm.
