First Annual Gerry Goodie Memorial Big Ol' River Boat Show, Poker Run, Live Music, and Fundraiser at Wimpy's!

Grose Racing Engines, Wood Racing, Wimpy's Marina, and Bacardi are proud to present this 3-Day Show-N-Shine Event... It should be a fun opener for our 2024 Season!

A Fundraiser for San Joaquin County Sherriff's Boating Division in support of keeping our waterways safe for everyone!

Many of you have shown concern about the V-Drive Only Events so this is right up your alley to show off your liquid Hot Rods and Cruisers. Pretty much any boat is welcome! With 7 different classes, we're sure one of them will fit your boat. We will also have exhibition boats on display, some blown fuel boats to light the night sky, and several alcohol boats to do some cackling.

• V-Drive Hydro - Shovel Nose & Pickle Fork
• V-Drive - Flat bottom, Circle, Sprint
• Keaton - Any & All
• Jet Boats - Tunnels, V-Hulls, Flats, Sprints
• Inboard/Outboard - Limited to 20'6"
• Outboards - Any & All Limited to 20'6"
• Day Cruisers - V-Drives, Jets, I/O's, Outboards, Lminited to 20'6"

Award for each BEST IN CLASS and a PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD for one lucky boat!

Music every day with Live Concerts on Friday & Saturday evenings and on the Deck on Sunday. Awards will be presented during the band breaks.

Friday, June 7th - Wimpy's Delta Poker Run

Test your luck by picking up 5 different cards at 5 participating Marinas in the upper Delta. There will be fuel at most of the stops and time to dock and enjoy a snack or beverage.

The run will leave Wimpy's at 1:00pm and return to Wimpy's no later than 5:00pm for Friday Night's Festivities. Special participant wristbands will be required to be dealt cards and be eligible for awards.

LIVE MUSIC: Tressa Gaye's Rock & Blues Review 5:30PM - 8:30PM

The award for BEST POKER HAND will be presented during the concert at approximately 6:00pm. $50 per Player.

Saturday, June 8th - Big Ol' River Boat Show

​Gates will open at 7:00am for all contestants' boats. Contestants will receive their entry package at Check-In. Packets will include wristbands, a cling decal to identify you, your boat, make, model, etc.

​Parking & Docking Assignments will be provided on arrival and check-in. Staff have your specifications, however, inform the Gate Attendant whether your entry is Land or Water for better guidance. Parking at this event is going to be a challenge. Please be patient.

​All boats must be in place at 9:00am. This will give contestants an hour to buff and polish before the gates open to the public at 10:00am.

Our special Guest Judges are coming from all over. Evaluation of entries should start around noon. We hand-picked judges according to each class of entries.

Sunday, June 9th - Sunday Funday!

​An open day to hang out and cruise the Delta. Have an amazing breakfast at Wimpy's! Go visit some of the fantastic sloughs, rivers and confluences that end up in this area and disperse into what we call "The Delta". Even re-visit some of the cool spots you may have seen on the Poker Run. When you return to Wimpy's there will be music to enjoy and a chance to unwind from an exciting weekend.

BOAT SHOW ENTRY FEE: $150

This fee covers:

• Entry of your boat in the event (Either on your trailer or at the dock.)
• Poker Run Participation
• 3 Days of Live Music
• Parking for 1 Truck and Trailer
• 2 Passes for the entire weekend
• Cling On Entry Description Decal
• Additional Show Decals
• Launch Ticket (Needed for New Hope, Walnut Grove & Wimpy's Only)
• Contestant Swag Bag

Boats shown on trailer will be disconnected from tow vehicle. Trailer Show will stage in front of the Restaurant & Bar on the levee or down by the Launch Ramp or Stage. Additional Parking available at New Hope. Parking, Launching, Camping is offered at Walnut Grove Marina where many of the Keaton gang will set up.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What if I only want to enter the Poker Run on Friday?

• That's $50 per hand. Launch, Parking, or Show Admission not included.

Can I just come to see what's happening?

• Wimpy's has a $25.00 per person per day Gate Fee to the public to attend the Boat Show and Concert Venue as a combo.

What's the launch fee for non-contestants?

• The fee at Wimpy's and New Hope is $20.00 per boat.

Can I camp?

• Camping is available only for registered entries at this time. There are limited full hookups, but plenty of dry camping available.

Our Riverfront Resort is only about 20 minutes away from both Sacramento and Stockton. Plus, we're only 5 minutes away from I-5!

We encourage you to get here early. Our Sandy Beach & Deck areas have limited unassigned seating. We do have Yard Games for you to enjoy, drinks available for purchase at multiple indoor and outdoor bars, and delicious food!

This is an all-ages event. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible party or parent. Every guest must present their own separate QR Code ticket upon entry.

- We recommend carpooling. Parking is limited.

- Wimpy's Marina is a riverfront venue that is outdoors. We ask you to please wear appropriate shoes, sunscreen, and insect repellent.

-Wimpy's Marina asks everyone to please DRINK RESPONSIBLY, and please don't drive or operate any motor vehicle if you are under the influence. We do not condone or promote such activity.

- ABC law prohibits THC and CBD smoke or ingested product use on licensed property premises, please respect our venue's rules. We reserve the right to refuse business to those who do not follow the rules.
