The Big Data Alliance of Nova Scotia (BDANS), is a non-profit organisation created to promote Big Data in industry and academia in Nova Scotia.

The 2017 Congress will mark the fifth annual Atlantic Big Data Congress. In 2017, the Big Data Congress will focus on how Big Data is being used, and can be used, in the oceans and agricultural industries. Nova Scotia is known as a global centre of excellence for Big Data. We also have a deep, centuries old connection to the ocean, from fisheries to maritime security and science. As well we have one of the oldest agricultural sectors in North America and are known for our industry advances. This business congress will bring business, government and academia together to spark ideas and learn how to leverage Big Data for the ocean and agricultural sectors.
