Welcome to the Big Ass Papermaking Workshop! Join us on Friday and Saturday, May 10 and 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a couple of creative days learning how to make paper by hand. Get ready to unleash your inner artist as we dive into the art of big papermaking. No experience is necessary, just come with an open mind and a willingness to learn. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to create a truly large (4’ x 6’) sheet of colorful paper made with recycled cotton and various other fibers with your own hands. See you there!

Hosted by San Diego papermakers Judi Tentor and Maya Vanderschuit, this hands-on workshop will take place in historic Mission Hills at the papermaking studio at 4311 Hortensia St. The workshop will also include using mineral pigments for coloring pulp as well as various stencils and methods for creating patterns on pulp. All materials provided.
