Bicycle Photography Workshop

Join us for a fun and informative Bicycle Photography Workshop on beautiful Bainbridge Island! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro, this workshop is perfect for anyone who loves biking and photography. Learn how to capture stunning shots of landscapes, action shots, and more while exploring the scenic routes of the island. Our experienced instructor, Bobby Arispe, will provide tips and tricks to help you improve your photography skills. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to combine two passions in one unforgettable experience!

Schedule: June 15

8:30 am, meet in front of Cafe Umbria in Occidental Park. After brief introductions, we will roll over to the Seattle ferry dock. Please purchase your ferry ticket ahead of time or have your Orca card handy.

9:00 am, Depart Winslow ferry terminal. On our 18+ mile course around Bainbridge Island, we will make multiple photo stops to focus on different aspects of photography. The route we will ride will feature a couple of challenging climbs. We will always stay together and regroup after any climbs.

3:50 pm, catch a departing ferry back to Seattle. On board, we will wrap up the day with helpful tips and tricks so you can continue your photography journey.

  • How to adjust your exposure for various situations
  • Understanding all the focusing options with your camera
  • How to look for the light (how our eyes see light vs. our cameras)
  • Composing compelling images
  • Types of cameras, software, and accessories to continue your photographic journey
  • Combining photography and cycling

What kind of camera/gear do you need?Any current digital camera will work, but cameras where you can manually control settings, the better. Make sure you have a secure way to carry your camera while biking and bring an extra battery. Do you only have a smartphone? We can make that will work too.
