Bicycle Commuting 101

Yellow Bike Project is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been working since 1997 to reuse bicycles and to provide tools, workspace, and guidance for all.

Austin's Yellow Bike Project

You've ridden your bike on the hike-and-bike trail, around the neighborhood, and maybe even on a Thursday night social ride, but you wouldn't dare ride your bike to work or to get around town... or would you? This course is for the cyclist who wants to incorporate their bicycle into a more active part of their transportation. YBP ed staff are seasoned commuters, both in the streets of Austin and around the world. Come pick our brains!
What you'll learn:

<LI>Best bike routes</LI>
<LI>Cycling laws</LI>
<LI>How to carry all your stuff</LI>
</UL>
Requirements:
<UL>
<LI>$25 paid at least 24 hours in advance</LI>
<LI>Cash payments can be accepted at the time of the class, but you must register 24 hours in advance by emailing ybpeducation@gmail.com</LI>
<LI>Your own fully functional and road ready bicycle -- a large portion of this class will be on the road!</LI>
