Beyond The Method Hair Extension Class
This class is for those who have experience with hair extensions searching for MORE, but not limited to. No experience is welcomed. This class is not focused on methods, but rather on teaching you the fundamentals, knowledge and skills that I have acquired through the years of specializing in hair extensions and seeing effective results for both myself and my clients.
The focus of the class with be showcasing a concealed technique and hands on learning for students on a mannequin or live model. Students have an option to bring a live model, can be friend, a co-worker or assitant. Literally anyone with medium length hair. This will just be for practice. Live models will not be going home with extensions. We will be removing them at the end of class. *Students will be pairing together (two people per person) on LIVE model. If bringing a live model, please let Jaime know via email at michels.jaime@gmail.com. You do not need a live model (you will be required to bring a manniquin and manniquin stand if you do not have a live model) but is strongly encouraged for you to get the most out of this class.
Class includes:
Intro: Short Q+A getting to know everyone in our community and identifing current challenges
-Identifing different types of wefts
-Placement / Sectioning for 1 one row vs. two row
-Demonstrating how to customize your installation techniques to each client
-Beading to your clients hair type
-Pinning/ how to stack wefts /create flat corners
-Different Stitch patterns/ learning the lock stitch
-Lunch
-Cutting Extensions to create a natual blend/movement
-Custom coloring extensions
-How to use social media to build an extension clientele
-Final Q+A
