Join us on Saturday, June 1st, 2:30pm-3:30pm for our next FREE Beyond the Dance Floor workshop with Impulse Burlesque instructor Shiv Tuck. Shiv is a non-binary and transfemme dancer and artist in Northern Colorado who has been dancing at Impulse since 2021.
In this interactive workshop, we will have open conversations about being trans and non-binary and what that looks like in spaces where our bodies tend to be the focus. Whether you are exploring your gender identity, early on in your transition journey, or a gender non-conforming veteran, placing your body in front of a mirror and exploring your authentic self can be frightening. We will work as a group to unpack some of the barriers we experience, explore new ways to feel embodied, and ultimately find joy in our gender expression through dance. While all are welcome, this Pride Month kickoff is geared towards gender non-conforming members of our dance community.
Beyond the Dance Floor workshops are led by Impulse staff on subjects they're passionate about that go beyond the classes they teach at Impulse. It's a fun way to connect and grow together, too.
